Valeria earned her BFA at UW with her first major being marketing/graphic design & her second theatre design. After having her son, the seed for providing birth support was planted by her own IBCLC & midwife. She had 2 completely natural births with a midwife. At the time, being a director of artistic operations at a display company; the timing was not right to change careers. Being an artist for 20+ years paved the path to more unique birth support solutions for families. She would go on to complete her education in becoming a birth & postpartum doula in 2008. Valeria also received her original IBCLC certification in 2010 & recently recertified in 2025. In late 2024 she earned her PMH-C certification to help better understand perinatal mood disorders. She is a professional member and co-chairperson of the Northern Illinois Breastfeeding Task Force. Valeria is an insured allied health professional that does accept most insurance plans.
